Institute Director. He earned a Ph.D. in Education and Master's of Science in Educational Leadership from the University of Idaho, as well as a Master's of Education from the Pennsylvania State University, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Portland State University, with a minor in Psychology. Prior to fulltime CES employment he was a Smokejumper for the U.S. Forest Service, served in the U.S. Navy and is currently in the Navy Reserve. He served a mission for the LDS Church to the Texas, Dallas Mission, and married his sweetheart, Amie Beth Potter, in the Denver, Colorado Temple, they have four children.
